Aches is an electronic soundscape combined with video footage which
explores the physical and psychological effect of memory and loss.
Beginning with television static the piece continues with an object slowly revolving inter-cut with abstracted images of the human form. The piece concludes with a fast cutting sequence of train-lines and body parts until fading back into television static.
Utilising real time & slow motion, varied focus, extreme close-ups, degeneration of footage and moving objects the piece comments upon the voyeuristic nature of video and surveillance cameras to create a dream-like experience.
