This summer will see the re-appearance of Bathysphere's much hallowed 'Lo_Tempo_Hi_Fi Arena' at Leicester's Summer Sundae Festival on Friday 12th August, and we will be in attendance through till Sunday with our 'NANOPLEX' mobile moving image centre and with high-power outdoor video projections. Bathysphere were commissioned by Leicester's Haymarket Theatre to provide music and moving images for Dolly Dhingra's new play 'Fortune Club'. The show was premiered at the Tricycle Theatre London on 11th March 2005 and then moved on to the Haymarket in April.

Deep-Water get ready for their next album release, which will take the for of Chin Chin’s ‘Shallow Dive’ LP. It'll be in the shops in spring 2005 and is crammed to the fullness with wistful melodic trickery courtesy of the 3 chinned massive.

Filming finished yesterday on the 1 Sight project short film, written and directed by Metro-Boulot-Dodo and produced by Bathysphere. Entitled 'Newsround' the film features a varied and dynamic cast in the form of actor and writer Steve North whose film and TV credits include South West Nine, London’s Burning and Murphy’s Law; Paddy Glynn, an accomplished TV, film and theatre actress with numerous credits to her name including three recent plays at Leicester Haymarket Theatre; and Paul Long a founding member of award winning, contemporary theatre company Metro-Boulot-Dodo, whose most recent shows include Under Pressure and FIB.

Newsround was filmed entirely on location in and around Leicester and will feature a brand new soundtrack by Bathysphere.

'STEALTH' is the name of Bathysphere's latest new music project funded by Arts Council England. A large-scale two-year project , it will build on the successes of Deep-Water Recordings through a series of new releases and live performances throughout 2005/2006.. more news to follow

Look out for a series of multi-media extravaganzas to be held at Leicester’s Phoenix Arts Centre in 2005. Bathysphere have been called in to produce three events, which will make use of the entire building and allow us to programme some top notch electronica artists alongside installation and experimental work - details to follow.

The Watch-This-Space programme of multi-media performance installation projects this year took us to the North Mill in Belper, Derbyshire. This exciting new work was commissioned by Derbyshire County Council and allowed the Watch-This-Space team to bring the atmosphere of the mill to life through the innovative use of video, sound, lighting and performance – all created especially for the space by Bathysphere and Metro-Boulot-Dodo.

1 Sight is a pilot moving image project in collaboration with EM Media and Arts Council Of England, which has been developed to allow Bathysphere to increase their work in this sector under the guidance of the region’s key new media agency.
The project will allow the commissioning of a single new Digital Video work to be produced by Bathysphere and directed by Metro-Boulot-Dodo Theatre Company. Filming starts in March 2005. Look out soon for previews on this website.
