Our First multimedia club experience – a collaboration between Bathysphere and Normal Position held at Leicester’s International Arts Centre in May 2002..The main focus of which was a live performance by Normal Position, who were accompanied on stage by an orchestra.. As ever it is the press release which best sums things up….”The event will take the form of a multi-media experience through the use of venue decoration, video projections, live video mixing and will feature a host of supporting DJs from the region. In order to make the performance as exciting as possible Bathysphere will make a short video film specifically for the event, which will be projected on stage during Normal Position’s set. The inclusion of a full orchestra on stage will add a new dimension to the music of Normal Position. It will also provide a visual spectacle rarely seen in club nights. Members of metro-boulot-dodo Theatre Company, who will create characters specific to the night, will compere the event.”
