Artists :: Dushume
Dushume is a thriving experimental DJ from Leicester with interests in fusing Asian Underground sounds with electroacoustic music. He has not only completed a Degree in Music Technology & Innovation (BA Hons) but also further completed a Masters in the same given subject this has led him to develop a strategy which utilizes various analogue and digital DJ equipment. It is the hacking of hardware uses for different means which has enabled Dushume to create a performance strategy which works developing advance improvisations.
Notable performances have included the PACE Building, Demontfort University various concerts/ performances (2008/09) Sonic Arts Network, Plymouth (2007), Y Theatre, Leicester (2007) Hare And Hounds with noise legend Merzbow, Birmingham (2008), Summer Sundae Festival DJ Set, Leicester (2008) Phoenix Arts, Leicester (2009).
For the future Dushume is planning on building a custom built Software and hardware solution, which will enable him to create his own unique sounds generating clicks, pulses, noise & Bass, whilst still allowing him to sample various records from his eclectic world eastern tastes.
