Deep-Water Recordings finally go digital in the shape of the mid-priced ‘Indoor Shed’ compilation Compact Disc. The CD attempts to answer the constant barrage of “when’s the first album out….?” questions that our legacy of eight full-strength 12” EPs has created……so, what’s it all about?

The ‘Indoor Shed’ throws light on the label’s uniquely lush sound, a stunning roster of artists and remixes from some of the biggest names around. Over the last two years Deep-Water have steadily been gathering kudos, momentum and critical acclaim in discerning electronic downbeat circles with their limited edition vinyl-only EPs. The highlights of these EPs are finally gathered together on this CD….so, who’ve they got on it?

Deep-Water discovered the maverick pastoral phenomenon called HINT – now the soul property of the mighty NINJA TUNES. Here he represents with the smash hit ‘Quite Spectacular’, plus there’s remix action courtesy of GRAND CENTRAL/TRU-THOUGHTS’ geezer JON KENNEDY and an exclusive remix from the up and coming KING SEVEN. As their debut album approaches, the wonky-yet-lush sounds of NORMAL POSITION contributions include the lounging dance-floor blips of ‘Lil Jeff’ and ‘Altered’, plus a dazzling remix from MELODIC’s own MINOTAUR SHOCK. Melodic also work with Deep-Water newsters and current press darlings PSAPP, who have the Herbert-esque ‘Scissory’ up for grabs on the ‘Indoor Shed’.

BATHYSPHERE’s abundant slo-mo textures in and endtroduce the comp, MONKEY MAGIC gets cheeky after being Ministry Mag’s record of the month, the SOFALOFA warms up for his appearance the new FABRIC comp ‘AMALGAMATION OF SOUNDZ’, with the glitchy ‘Counts the Accular’ .They’ve also got the wistful and soothing CHIN-CHIN chopping up the lovely ‘Koto Salad’. In fact its rammed to compaction with what Jockey Slut called ‘slo-mo beats, lush arrangements and bewitching melodies..’
