Bathysphere

Matthew Pell is a video artist producing both personal and commissioned projects.

Taking inspiration from modern architecture and urban environments Pell’s work explores light, pattern, shape, form, sound and movement. Much of his work utilises looped footage, abstract imagery and audio to reflect upon the human condition within a city landscape.

Since 2000, Pell’s work has been shown through out the UK. These screening have taken place in various venues including The Showroom, Sheffield, The Digital Hub, Dublin, Mac, Birmingham, Broadway, Nottingham, Focal Point Gallery and Angel Row Gallery: video billboards in Dublin, Cardiff and Leicester City Centres, and Leeds Film Festival and Stafford Film Festival respectively.
